Main kite zone on the north shore east of town, by Hotel Las Nubes. A sandbar about 100 m out makes a waist-deep flat lagoon where all lessons happen. Launching from the beach can be tight, so the lagoon is used. Kiting is banned in the hotel zone, at Punta Coco and Isla Pasión, and south of Las Nubes. Watch for fishing nets and buoys. Riders pay a yearly local kite fee (about USD 10, wristband).
